At Ashton Fire, we’re committed to making a positive impact on our environment.

That’s why we’re excited to share that we have officially become a carbon neutral company. By partnering with ClimatePartner, we’re taking meaningful steps on our sustainability journey.

Being a carbon neutral company means we’ve taken the necessary actions to calculate and continually reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. For any emissions that remain unavoidable, we’re offsetting them through carbon offset projects. Here’s how we’re doing it:

1 – Calculating carbon emissions.

In collaboration with ClimatePartner, we’ve calculated our Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF). This comprehensive assessment includes emissions from various sources such as energy usage, heating, business travel, and office supplies – everything that contributes to our company’s operations.

2 – Avoiding and reducing emissions.

Our CCF calculation serves as our roadmap for emission reduction. We update it annually to track our progress and identify additional areas where we can improve.

3 – Carbon offset projects.

While we strive to minimise our emissions, some remain unavoidable. That’s why we’ve chosen to support two projects from the ClimatePartner portfolio:

  • Clean Drinking Water in Zoba Maekel, Eritrea: By supporting this initiative, we’re helping provide access to clean drinking water in the region. Discover more at https://www.climatepartner.com/1294.
  • Climate Project and Ocean Protection: This project not only offsets CO2 but also tackles plastic waste worldwide. Learn more at https://www.climatepartner.com/1087.

4 – Transparency and tracking.

To ensure transparency and accountability, we proudly display our “carbon neutral company” label. You can track our carbon neutral journey using the ClimatePartner ID tracking tool at www.climatepartner.com/17705-2306-1001.

Offsetting emissions is a crucial step in taking meaningful climate action. While we work towards reducing emissions, offsetting allows us to contribute to the 1.5-degree target set by the Paris Convention. Additionally, investing in carbon offset projects supports sustainable development, combating poverty, and improving living conditions in emerging and developing countries.

By investing in ClimatePartner’s projects, we’re not only becoming carbon neutral but also supporting the realisation of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

At Ashton Fire, we’re proud to be your carbon neutral partner, actively working towards a greener future.

Together, let’s make a positive impact on our planet.
