Ashton Fire is pleased to become a Registered Signatory of the Building a Safer Future Charter. Ashton Fire recognises that becoming a Registered Signatory is an important first step towards achieving the culture and behavioural change required in relation to the Charter’s objectives around building safety. In confirming our support as a Registered Signatory, we will now be working to ensure we embed the principles of the Charter into our organisation’s activities.

The wellbeing of our team is a real focus for us, so we have a qualified Mental Health First Aider driving various initiatives to achieve this. We are proud to support ‘Generating Genius’ – an organisation on a mission to find and develop the next generation of STEM leaders.

We are committed to a policy of environmental management throughout our activities, always looking for new green initiatives that can be shared within the team. We share regular environmental shout outs to make our environmental impact at the forefront of everyone’s minds as we go about our daily activities. We are ISO 14001 and CarbonPartner certified, making sure we are actively looking to reuse and reduce where we can and offset where we are unable to.
Practice
We hold ourselves to high standards as highlighted by our certifications: ConstructionOnline Gold, ISO 9001 and 14001, BAFE SP205, Cyber Essentials + and SafeContractor Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP). Our policies and procedures are set to a certain standard and infrastructure is in place to ensure we deliver against this. Our professional memberships extend to the Fire Industry Association and the Institute for Fire Engineers. We continue to actively participate in voluntary industry committees to help improve the sector we operate in.

Our key aim is that everyone in our team feels part of Ashton Fire and as such, we offer a profit share bonus scheme. At the same time, performance management is also key, we want everyone to be accountable for their work so they can benefit directly from it. We are committed to achieve commercial success in a socially, morally and environmentally sustainable way. Our focus is always on fire safety, and safety will never be compromised by profit, relationships nor for any other reason. We are committed to supporting charities through giving our time, resources and financial donations.
